6 Months and over 2000 nm later - 2023 sailing comes to a close

Where did the time go ? Six months and 2,038 nm of travelling around Greece by boat travelling the Cyclades, Saronic, Peloponnese. Ionian and Dodecanese we are back in our home port of Leros preparing the boat for lift out where she will stay on the hard until our return in April next year. Its hard to call out the highlights but we certainly have a big place in our hearts for the towns of Monemvasia and Navpaktos, and the Islands of Syros, Patmos, Paros, and Simi and of course the Corinth Canal was a must visit. We didn't make it to the northern Ionian, Sporades or north Aegean, but there plenty of time for that.

We arrived back in Leros on the 15th October and the boat was lifted out on the 21st. There is plenty of work to be done preparing the boat for lift out to ensure she will be fit and well for our travels in 2024,

A great season in a lovely country with great people and good friends and "Planit-Earth" served us well.

Writing this final 2023 blog from home in Kilkenny in minus 5 degrees - it is beautiful here and we love it, but I am looking forward to the 2024 adventures (and the warmer weather).
